Bear Grylls is kinda cool but at the same time he's a completely wasteful fuck. When I was in Florida I watched a marathon of his show with my family and in the 6 hours or so of his show we watched he caught a six pound catfish with his bare hands, caught a rattlesnake, fought and killed an alligator, among other things. Of course he ate all of them. And by "ate" I mean he took two bites and then literally threw the rest away.

Oh yeah, I remember when Rob Bredl cooked an ostrich egg Aborigin style(buried it in the ground). It looked tasty :P and he ate all of it like a true Bushman.

Indeed. He's also got the best shtick. It takes a real badass to walk around the Australian outback without shoes.

Survivorman totally beats Man Vs Wild.
Plus, didn't he get in trouble one time for staying at a hotel during one of his "survival" filmings? I mean, the guy has a camera crew with him. That automatically drops him down a level on the survival rankings.

I'm disappointed. I always enjoyed Man vs. Wild. None of those shows are really all that dangerous in reality, though. He wouldn't have a camera crew with him if it were.
