Melbourne Shuffling

I've recently picked up a dance style called melbourne shuffling.



So any other fakku'ers shuffle? Or any other style of dance?

Well it's real popular in NZ right now, i don't do it myself but many of my friends do. Though from seeing multiple people shuffle i can say that the people in the video are avarage shufflers.

I can shuffle! I'm pretty terrible though. Coming from a ballet background, I have a difficult time with the heel to toe motion.

Melbourne Shuffle songs lie anywhere from 140-160 bpm.
You'd be amazed how difficult it is trying to shuffle at 150 bpm(Which is about the speed of that music)

Its pretty easy once you get used to it, but you gotta be committed. Especially since 5 minutes of melbourne shuffling is probably equivalent to 45 minutes of running.

Everyone sucks in the beginning dude. Told you. You gotta be comitted and dedicated to do ANYTHING. Same with breakdancing, popping, locking, c-walking, shuffling, jerking, krumping, et cetera.

No one is a born genius.

I dance in the rave scene but it's not shuffling I do glowsticking and liquid.

Huh, you're pretty good. Rocket in the Sky is a good song, but not really a shuffle type song. Alpha Twins, Bas & Ram, DJ Showtek, hell, even Deadmau5 would be better for shuffling.

Work on your spins moves and arm movement. Even though it seems that shuffling is all about feet movement, it isn't. Arm movement plays a important role in making your moves look flashy. Otherwise good work.
