MKV Format Videos

Hi, Im not sure whether this is the correct section to ask this question but I think this question is serious and intelligent enough....

Anyway I always download hentai through bit torrent and the video format is always mkv. Firstly, I would like to ask which media player shld i use to play mkv format video and anyone can tell me where can i download a software to convert mkv format video into mp4 format?

VLC player supports it or use the k-lite codec pack.

media player classic bundled with cccp works great, and i think SUPER can be used to convert mkv to mp4, but why would you want to convert it? mkv is the best video container out there.

Use K-lite,VLC or CCCP to play them. To convert them you can use SUPER.
and don't complain much, mkv is larger in memory, so, it's better in quality, better than MP4, avi or wmv.

Yeah mkv is fucking awesome. I just figured out how to make them auto select Japanese audio and English subs through haali media splitter so now I'm a very happy man =)

Go ahead and criticize me for using windows media player but for some reason it looks hella lot better and runs much smoother on it than vlc/media player classic. Vlc has its one use of cropping this movie my friend badly made when he accidentally set the aspect ratio to 16:9 instead of 16:10 though. I'm using k-lite codecs - never tried cccp because I haven't run into anything or had an issue with it.

First off all you need to do is Download CCCP.
It comes with MPC and Zoom Player, they're all you'll need to play MKV files.

As for converting MKV to anything.... it's a pain in the ass, don't even bother unless you have a Hard Drive with at least 10000 RPM, and a Tri-Core Processor at the least.
