I started getting into music production a little over a year and a half ago and have been studying sound engineering for quite some time. Alas, most of my experience deals with creating sound effects and not music, though it certainly has helped me with it so far.
There really isn't an amazing background as to why I got into it, I found music class fun at an early age and became more and more interested in sound engineering over time.
I can play the piano fairly well, though lately my computer keyboard has been my preferred instrument. Need to get a mechanical one though, can't play certain chords because of key-press limits.
I've been on and off with my guitar for about 5.5 years now. I have a thread of stuff I've played. Some covers are pretty decent, others are pretty shit imo. It's more of a way to see how I've improved over time rather than show off any skill.

I used to release songs frequently under the name 'Dethonator,' but gradually I slowed stuff down as I started taking music seriously and slowly transformed into 'lolicide.' I am mostly self-taught, though I did take guitar lessons for two years to get better technically. I also taught myself bass, keyboards and now drums. I also sing, but recently it's getting harder to practice, so I've been focusing on production more than recording. I played for a few bands, but it is extremely hard finding dedicated musicians who can take the time to actually write and play music. Gradually, I decided that I'm better off as a solo artist and just hire session musicians or touring performers. Alas, I'm short on the money, so right now I'm just producing that debut album while making money doing odd jobs so I can have a sustainable future doing what I love.

If you're ever looking for someone to collab with online I'm more than willing to help you out. I've got a bit of experience in music recording as well as song writing and playing bass.
I have collaborated with people online in the past but it never fully worked out personally. I need Gradually I realized I'm basically the only person to rely on. Even my old band members are kinda useless and I slowly realized that we aren't even friends
Hmm.. I consider myself a musician, but not a full-fledged one. I play guitar, and hope to learn how to play more instruments, but for now guitar is my thing. Rock is what I'm used too since I started with an electric. I wish I had covers to show but alas, I don't have the proper equipment nor time to record. Anime themes and general rock is what I listen to and play. I also have a knack for trying to write lyrics since I like to write.
They said I could write a story so I did. :3
The story of how I came to learn how to play guitar is when I heard my cousin that lived with me play his guitar and jam so loud and so good that it I can hear it from the basement and he's on the top floor (4 story apartment). I grew accustomed to it and soon had an interest in the instrument. I started out with an electric because he didn't have any acoustics, only a spare electric. Learned a few chords but then took a break because of the lost interest. And when my cousin moved out, I suddenly had the urge to play again because some of my friends started playing the guitar and as competitive as I am, I wanted to surpass them. To be honest, it was all about impressing people but then I started playing for me and satisfaction which by far, I find the most self-gratifying. It just felt right to play my anime themes and rock songs that I love to listen to. Now that I'm into playing for myself, the instrument started becoming more and more fun to play and music just felt more right. Now I'm just waiting for my group of friends and I to start a legit band because I find it lonely just to play BY myself. Anywho, I'm just a guitarist who's there, but not there yet. I still have a lot to learn, and to all musicians out there, keep playing.
Here are some of my works, I recently got into doing production after many years in the band and started this to found an outlet to express my creativity with producing hip-hop tunes.
My actual instrument is the trombone and secondary baritone.
I'm a bassist. I've been playing for a year and a half now.
I play in two bands. One plays Reggea, Afrobeat, Jazz and Funk. Unfortunately, I don't have any recodings of that band yet.
Second band I play with is a Heavy, electronic, dancemix sort of thing.
Here's a link to our tracks. All original. Hope you guys like it. Machete.Sex.Mix
I play a handful of instruments. Started with trombone lessons about 12 years ago, and self-taught vocals, drums, bass and keys along the way (at various degrees of proficiency).
I'm currently composing music for a visual novel, as well as experimenting with a lot of writing in general. Don't really have anything recorded I can show off though, sadly :<
Also, anyone else feel like we should make a Fakku Band? lol

I'd totally be in for that. I got you covered for bass.
I have an guitar, which i play every once on a blue moon.
The closest to musician i came was when me and some friends made a band. It was called "Slaves of the Hamlet Machine"(no one could decide on the name, so we put all the ideas together), and the first(and only '-') music was named "Tcha in the Dark".
Fun times :)
Casually play the drums and piano. Piano simply to ease my way into playing an accordion which is my ultimate goal in regards to music.
I want to play the accordion because there are a number of songs with accordion bits that I'd love to play (namely Stenka na Stenku by Arkona) as well as the prospect of being able to carry it around with me.
I play piano on my lost hours. For pleasure. I've been playing for like... 11 years ? I think I'm getting in my 12th one. But I'm not good at all, haha.
I like to play any kind of music on my keybord, but I'm very found of ost and jazz.
Also, I would like -but it's just a project- to play ukulele. I hope that I will be able to do so any time soon, but I don't really have the money. .__.
[color=#993300]Classically trained pianist reporting for duty, and a sound technician, and a Vocaloid producer. I'm not really bound to a specific genre
In terms of musicianship, I am but a newbie (instruments entirely self-taught) but I love to experiment and learn. I did pick up some theory while studying music production/sound engineer in school.
My goal in life is to be proficient at stringed instruments
