My favorite metal band PERIOD

Mastodon a metal band from my home town of atlanta
i started listing to them two years ago when i heard the lead singer of the mars volta says 'these guys are the real fucking deal man.. and now im just trying to spread my love of their music to other on fakku ...keep the good music alive and shitty pop out man

Mastodon is pretty good, but Id say my favorite metal band would have to be either Nile or Vader. Each band has consistently put out awesome albums every time.
