My insidious and dreadful dream

[font=Arial]Well, I might as well start this off by saying that my dream is not your normal dream. It is not dreams of fame or fortune, or to achieve a certain goal. It is to spread awareness. People are easily deceived by companies far larger than they can comprehend into doing things that they do not necessarily want. They don't realize that all the media they watch or listen to is all just a front for what the real deal is. What is the real deal? The real deal is the FAT MONKEYS who are making BILLIONS of bannanas behind the scenes. People walk around with their iPods and their slick new laptops without paying a thought (or caring) to what and who they are giving their money to. They only care about their product that they get, and the effectiveness of the product. Same can be said for the companies who want their products to be effective (which is really just a front for making cash, of course)

Anyway, my dream is to make people realize what exactly they are paying for, even if they could care less because it doesn't affect their lives (which it really actually does). They don't realize that all these companies have lobbyists behind the scenes working the politicians into bribery and corruption and making the U.S. (or any other foreign country you live in) into a place you DO NOT want to live in. Whether you are Republican, or Democrat, these companies are FRONTS, disguising the REAL DEAL.

That is my dream.

My troll sensors are confused...

If EVERYTHING is a front for something, should I not buy anything? Or I should just be careful about who I buy it from? They want to survive like everyone else, but they just want some style, or control, or have their dream come true, or what have you.

I realize there is a lot of shit going on behind the scenes that I may not like, but if I worried my pretty little head about it every second of every day, it'd be pretty hard to get work done to survive.

I need things in order to survive, and for those things, I need money. In order to get money, I need to spend money. Right now, I'm paying a thousand dollars for two classes this summer. It'll help me reach my goal of graduating. I need the degree in order to pursue my dream.

Blah. I lost my train of thought just now. It was something along the lines of, 'I won't stop spending money on things I need to better my life, and the life of the ones I love.'

You misunderstand me. I was trying to say that people do not understand what they are doing when they are buying products, not that they should (or can) do something about it. People should be aware of what the companies are lobbying so that they can make more educated decisions as to who, and what they are buying from, and not to power the already overpowered industries that control countries from around the world like puppets on strings.

I'm NOT saying that all companies are bad, however, because of the fact that many companies are run by completely legit and honest individuals, who want to make a good living. But with success comes profit, and profit comes power and sooner or later you wind up like those corrupt companies (like Walmart) who suck the life out of the other businesses and move on to the next town, all the while lobbying their stupid politics

I digress. Hopefully people see what I'm trying to say, instead of having typical leyman's reaction of "what the fuck are you talkin about bro?"

Although I respect your opinion, I beg to differ. Truth means fuck all to me, especially when this truth is so ambiguous. I'm lied to and played for money, yes; but it's done on a daily basis. It's so common that I think the world is just not going to stand for it anymore. Take a look at whats going on in politics. More and more people are getting involved, or simply informed. I think it's great that more people are starting to care about what happens to ourselves, and our planet. In business, more and more people are trying to find better, more efficient, and cleaner ways to do everyday tasks. Not everyone is, true, but it's happening.

I'm trying to find meaning in life. That's all I want from this existence. Not a universal meaning, but my own meaning. I know that in itself can be taken several ways, but I want to know why I'm here; as in, people. I'm part of this world, and it is part of me. I want to experience as much of it as possible.

I know they are two very different things, and should not be compared, but I can't help but do it. I'm human. What idea is intended by the idea of humanity, if there is indeed a 'God'. And if there is none, which I believe is impossible to prove at this time (both ways), then what is the purpose of our existence?

Fuck, this is too long. My bad, I just caught up in thinking about it again. Sometimes I feel like a different person, rambling on like that.

I think 'the truth' and what Lath is trying to do are two different things. Although truths in their own right, one has a deeper meaning than trying to teach others about their immediate surroundings.

Well, you are right about truth being different. Ok, lets make this simple. There are two truths we are talking about.
One, is that the huge companies around the world are using life as their entertainment, while we flounder around in our own shit. This is the truth I know, and what I want to spread.

Two, is the truth about the world (FMA anyone?) and how it works, which people claim to know, but no one truly knows how it works. The only thing that really matters is put into a very simple, latin quote, which is "Cogito ergo sum" which means I think therefore I am. Your own state of being is what matters, figuring it out comes next, and no one really ever figures it out. Even those self-proclaimed enlightened Buddhists don't really know.

I think I'm done for now, because I'm confusing myself and I've got more immediate things to think about. But yeah, I see what you're trying to do, and awesome it is.
