That was awesome. Weird that it doesn't work on firefox.

firefox's highlight overlay is much less intrusive compared to IEs. so you can still see the image. either way, that picture is friggin' awesome, wonder how they did it.

Erm... how do you actually highlight an image? I am able to highlight words though.

Open it up, then make sure your cursor [arrow on the screen] isn't over the picture. Then click your mouse down in the white space where the image isn't and drag it over the image.

Well, it's pretty easy to explain. IE's highlight filter crosshatches, so every so many pixels, it puts a nice blueish few pixels. The creator of the image made it so that the eyes and mouth fell under those few pixels. Then they made the rest black and added eyes and a freaky mouth to the space which wasn't covered by the crosshatched areas.

I think I've been reading too much manga lately, I know its inconceivable. I had to read the first comic twice for me to get it because I was reading it from right to left.

I found a fun site while enjoying Peter Chimaera's wonderfully horrible fanfictions. This site is great, especially the other stuff section.

I actually do the same a lot. Sometimes with oddly shaped panels, I end up looking several times to see if I read something correctly.

I'll check it out.
