You require the program winrar to uncompress these files before you can view them.
Type "winrar" in any of the popular search engines and you should be able to find it.

Or if on OS X you can use UnRarX. Honestly, just google yourOS and rar and a number of programs should pop up on the list.

I would personally suggest downloading the program called, 'Alzip'. It can unzip and compress as fast as and in many cases, faster than the leading competitor, such as winzip, which is a program you actually have to pay for. It will do just about any compressed filetype you can throw at it, from the common ones like zip. and rar. files, to ones i've never even heard about.
