Get a Seagate or a WD [WesternDigital]. They're the most reliable from personal experience.
The general consensus I have read is that WDs don't run as well under hot conditions, while Seagates deal better with heat.
I'm not too sure on how well Samsungs run in a hot environment, the ones I run are in my server on 24/7 and are serving very well for almost a year now of course they have adequate cooling.
But as a storage drive they're all made with one purpose in mind: storage.
So don't expect them to be fast performers to my knowledge: WD obviously has their own brands so their drives are in them, Maxtor and Seagate specific stuff use Seagate drives and Lacie use Samsung drives.
I'm not too sure on the no name drives but I have a suspicion that they use Samsung drives.
