Joking with such things is all well and good on IRC, but I kinda think it'd be better to leave race jokes out of the forums as it could offend an overly sensitive viewers and/or discourage people from sticking around the forums.
I know the reason I got involved in FAKKU's forums(which is what makes up 99.99% of the time I'm on FAKKU) was its friendly atmosphere. I know it's all just for good fun, but I think it's best to keep negative humor off the forums(although you and Nouta insulting each other is fine since you both know each other and don't take each other seriously).
Then again, maybe I'm just no fun :)

I agree with the racism thing, but I think that users who are looking up Hentai should be pretty used to explicit references. We aren't dealing with people under 18 here (or one would hope, because of the forum rules), so I think they should have the maturity to say "Whatever, just another shit racist joke" and go back to enjoying FAKKU. Agreed with the sensitivity. But then again, FAKKU seems to be reaping in users from the *chans. -_-

Very true, I wasn't including IRC in that percentage of FAKKU time(although whenever I have IRC up I'm also logged into the forums and checking regularly). In all fairness to IRC, talking to Hibia, Bluesky and others on IRC is some of the best fun to be had on FAKKU.
I agree that it shouldn't be a problem, but unfortunately "they should have the maturity" may not always equal "they do have the maturity". While I know there isn't any malice behind such jokes here(at least I assume), people may not get what is and isn't sarcastic without previous knowledge of the poster, especially when your dealing with text since there isn't any tone of voice to go by.
As a side note, I certainly don't mean to be singling out York or anything, he seems nice enough and I know his sarcasm is all in the name of good fun. And of course my suggestion about keeping FAKKU relatively free of this kind of stuff is entirely my opinion. I only account for 4.37% of the total posts on the forum. I'm no more of a representative of FAKKU then any other registered user.(starting to sound like an infomercial, the preceding statements do not necessarily reflect FAKKU's views... :lol: )

Yeah I wont be on IRC for now. I'm currently working on writing 3 separate papers and putting together 1 presentation for a seminar, after that I have to do some Chinese homework. It's past 5 am here (my classes start at 10, go until 6:30) and I have yet to sleep aside form a 2 or 3 hour nap, which is all I'll be getting until tonight.

Hmm, I really didn't mean to start any kind of argument or anything. I thought the picture was moderately funny, just figured I'd suggest keeping such jokes off FAKKU though, just to be safe, wouldn't want to run the risk of offending anyone and giving the impression that the forums here are anything but welcoming.
