Odd Download Problem

Hello all,
I've posted this in IRC countless times to no avail so I'll try it here;
If I attempt to use IE8, Firefox or Opera to download a zip / rar file it will not extract. It states that the file is corrupted.
If I use Google Chrome the file will extract.
(I use Fakku as my test sites for downloads)
Both files are exactly the same size (to the kb) and this has happened at multiple computers in various locations of the country.
Any ideas why?
(All the programs are up to date, no viruses, spyware, etc... To my knowledge)

It means that the file is not downloading correctly for the web browsers in question. Does this happen for all sites you try to download archive files from, or just one in particular? Also, make sure your history and cache are cleared.

I've done those steps too to no avail.
