I'm writing a pitch for a contest in the "guild" (self contained subforum) I run on gaiaonline (laugh, but the "guild" is good enough to justify a membership.)
I was reading this, and wondered if it could be considered offensive. I don't offend easily, and don't experience sufficient empathy towards sensitive types to escape irking them.
Anyway, could somebody look over this, and tell me if it makes sense, or needs some changes to clear confusion:

So, the fifteenth is a sunday.
Let's try to have everything together by then (Post, I don't want to make a bad move)
Also, I'm thinking something like:
A Mangaka Christmas!
Contest time!
This holiday, we're looking for a themed card to include in our (recently re-started) mailer.
Ideas got dropkicked, and we thought we would stay with the basics. We want a card that:
-
Is "Holiday Themed": we accept Christmas cards, Chanukkah cards, Solstice greetings, and/or Kwanzaa....things. (I don't celebrate, it's a holiday that makes little to no sense to me.)
-Incorporates your art in some way: can feature your original characters, have a picture of you drawing in a corner, or exemplify your distinctive styling.
-Tells us something about yourself: Art is about self expression, it can illustrate family rituals, landmarks of your homeland, or whatever you want. Be creative, and it'll work out in the end.
Of course, there will be prizes;

You are officially encouraged to exploit our community's resources in this task. We have a good art critique board, and hints and tips can help conceptualize. This is more then a ploy for more activity, this is about helping your fellow man [size=7](to post more)[/h].

This needs revising. Look at it and tell me what's up.
