Exactly. Because of my short stature and cute face some people just assume I'm younger than I really am upon first seeing me.
I'm 21, not 16. The sooner everyone in this town learns that, the sooner freshmen stop hitting on me while I'm at work, asking what school I go to and not believing me for a second when I told them I graduated. If I wore my class ring, that might have shut them up.
Also some guy in line thought I was cutting class to get some ice cream and whispered "you should be in school!" at me until I got behind the counter and put on the hat. He was my first customer too, which was more awkward for him than me, but still awkward.
