I totally agree, Eranox. Back when it was first coined, by all intents and purposes, kilobyte represented 1024 bytes. Although I bet when they were coming up with the name there were like "eh, it's close enough to 1000, lets just throw kilo infront of it just like the SI unit." I think that was a bad idea that it was done that way and should probably have used a better name. you know how a byte is 8 bits right? why not just go "ok 8 bytes is this and 8 of those is that" seems a much better way imo.
But back on point, anything computer related should somehow be related to a power of 2.

The law in every computer is binary. Every data that is created on your pc, like by using word or whatever, is also binary. So why the heck do they still use this old shit, I will never get it. Anyway I don´t care anymore what other people say, I will only use the binary one.Hope you will also do.
