With many
visual novel games in the forum I was well entertained for a time. But if I want the prior machine state (with
no game traces) back, I have to not only
deinstall but
clean the registry with software tools.
My whole problem with game traces on my computer disappears when using
virtual machines with the principle of installing a virtual operation system (OS) inside your OS. The downside with playing games in a virtual machine is usually "speed" but as visual novels don't use graphics cards/ processor capabilities extensively, this is fortunately not an issue.
So all you need for the use of this technique for playing is:
* virtual machine (for example VirtualBox, VMware Server)
* operation system (preferably Windows)
* games
After your game session you can
freeze the VM and continue at another time. And when you want to remove the game you can just
reset your VM to the initial installation state.
