I'm really starting to think that I just have "one of those faces". I cant count how many times people have said this to me, and people I know in real life keep telling me they saw me when they were on vacation somewhere far away, lmao.

In my case, I draw using a dark gray eyeliner after applying the lipstick, then dab a little gloss at the center of the lips. How about you, how do you achieve this effect?

Whoops, Anime Boston sucked me in, didn't realize there were new posts in this thread. Also my quote button went M.I.A. so this is for those that asked me about lipstick.

That is actually Black Liner (MAC), lipstick in Russian Red (MAC), and Black Lipglass also from MAC (it has some fancy name I can't remember and I'm too lazy to climb down from my nest to look for it.) my makeup kit is 90% MAC, though I'm starting to branch out. It's just tough when you get a 40% industry discount and they come out with shiny new collections every season...

so everything in your kit is MAC? cool..... most people i know would use mixed items... since they said sticking to one would be.... i dunno in thar terms.....

Like I said, not everything, just a vast majority. Especially with the new HD stuff coming out, I've been picking up other brands and expanding it. When I first started my kit was far more varied, but I also first started with SFX and Theatre in mind. Since I don't really get booked for makeup these days (switched to focusing on hairstyling/wardrobe/art direction... I know... it's still all over the place >_<) and it's mainly for personal use, I'm ok with letting my kit slide to one brand, especially if I like the brand and if I have access to free shit and discounts. Although, again, Mac has lately been giving me more disappointments, sooo... yeah.
But you're right, a real mua's kit should be more varied. Unless you're getting paid/being sponsored by that particular brand. In which case, an extra $900 on a job just to say you used Visine? Uhm, yes please?
