meh, the dude who posted the picture may not be offended but someone might; it's a rude comment like "look at how fat you are" It may not offend the person targeted but it might hit home with someone else. Point is, it was rude, I called her out on it, end of story.

Being black is not something that would make one ashamed.
Having ear hair is. Why? Society has deemed it unattractive. Blatantly pointing out an unattractive feature is rude.

My comment was meant as something simple as "You have red hair" it didn't have any deep meaning, it didn't have any criticism, it didn't hold any insult - it was just an obvious comment that held absolutely no meaning to it.
