I haven't either, but a friend told me that. So you are probably right. He's not exactly the most trustworthy computer helper I know.

All I can guess is mess with... Unicode subtitling, SSA/ASS, conver to mplayer. If none of those work try messing with encoding. If none of those work you could extract the subs from the mkv and run them as softsubs. Im going to take a WILD GUESS and say this problem is because gg likes to protect their scripts. Cant open or extract the script times in a normal way. Something might be conflicting.
If everything fails ill be nice and send you a softsub script.
Yeah, I'll probably just mess around with stuff. And thanks but I'll probably just watch any more of those episodes in VLC. They work well except for that small black bar at the end, but it isn't much of a disruption.
