Heh, that always upset me. I mean of course no one likes to be spoiled, but it is ridiculous to make it such a big deal like they did on GT. I mean if you really don't want to be spoiled then stay out of threads that pertain to such events, and if it happens in a random forum for a random reason then there really isn't much you can do about it.

Yeah if your going into a thread, especially one that is about a second season or a sequel, then you better be smart enough to know that there will be spoilers. Not spoiling things for others is great and people should mark spoilers, but unless it is an obvious attempt t ruin it for others, then it isn't a huge offence.
Sometimes people just don't notice because the conversation just leads way, Besides, why post or read threads to things you haven't watched or seen yet?
