Question.

I just got bamboo fun because of my interest in art but i just heard a day or two after i bought it, that bamboo fun shouldn't be bought. why is that? because i still have a week to return it for a refund if not satisfied. and suggestion of which one to buy and where i can would be nice. Oh yeah and which photoshop should i use? Thank you!

I really haven't heard much bad about the Bamboo. The problems I've heard had to do with outdated drivers, options not configured properly, or Photoshop preferences occasionally messing with it. While I can't say I use mine an awful lot, it has performed to all my expectations thus far.

What? You obviously heard that from Wacoms competitors... I have one and it works like a charm!

I use a Wacom Bamboo, and I find it both effective and awesome. Also Wacom is the basic standard for drawing on the computer.

For your Photoshop use, I recommend CS4 if you have the money. But if you don't CS2 or Photoshop 7 should do.

im using my WACOM for almost 4 years now, and as far as I know,
it really works fine with me ^^

If it's the A6 then they're right, it is a bit of a bad choice. It's perfomance is as good as a Bamboo One, and only has a few extra customizable buttons, but costs twice what One costs. And most people think that those extra buttons are not worth the extra 50 bucks. So yeah, if you got an Bamboo Fun A6, you kinda wasted a bit of money.

But! If you got the A5, then it's a good choice. People say it's the best choice for the price.

(I haven't gotten my tablet yet, so this is merely what I picked up from people's reviews. I wanna be sure of what I'm getting before spending this much money on it)

where do i find the A6 or A5 thing? i cant seem to find it.

i believe A5 and A6 that Kuro said is about the size.
A5 = 14.85 x 21
A6 = 14.85 x 10.5
???

Yes, like tkhnoman said, I meant the active area/ the area where you draw on.
They actually call the A6 the Bamboo Fun Small and the A5 Bamboo Fun Medium.

Small's active area - 5.8 W x 3.7 D
Medium's active area - 8.5 W x 5.3 D

They're pretty much the same as A5 and A6 format.

You souldnt worry Im pretty sure there fine from what my friends told me but you sould consider a intuos they are the pro tablets but i dont have a pen tablet yet I use mouse XD
