You know you just rescinded your statement that Tom Morello is the Reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix, right?

I never said that. That was someone else. My points were:

a) They are very different and hard to compare in a "who's better" sense, especially without defining better.

b) That while Jimi Hendrix is influential and credited by people/groups as an influence, Morello did more to fundamentally change the sound of guitar playing, primarily by developing new sonic techniques, at least in my opinion

What I find funny is that he never uses his 'sonic techniques' as the NightWatchman.

An almighty necrobump, the reason being that Killing in the Name just got the Christmas number 1 spot in the UK, a good 17 years after it first charted. It was driven by a Facebook campaign to beat Simon Cowell's X Factor (formerly Pop Idol, which Cowell exported) winner Joe McEldrey, as they've won the last four years in a row with awful pop cover singles; this year it was a Miley Cyrus cover, which probably helped a whole lot. Almost a million people joined that group and it was advertised all over the place, with support and attacks from all corners getting it onto the news.

It's the first to ever win on downloads alone and achieved the most downloads of a number 1 single in history. Brilliant dose of anarchy, great song in the first place, the X Factor winner will still get as much cash as everyone before him, and if he's any good he'll have future success anyway.

Gotta love Rage, man I'll never forget when I met Tom Morello.
