Hanna, 8/10. It has really awesome music, great action sequences and good acting, but some of the in between bits were a bit silly, and the ending really petered out.
Brothers, great movie 10/10.
I don't really enjoy watching movies any more because they are way to predictable, but i guess that's why i watch them, to see how quickly i can guess the ending. Anyway... I found Brothers to be an intense and emotional movie, i didn't think tobey maguire would be able to play a role like that but he did it surprisingly well.
even though it's fun to see ol Jack Sparrow again, the movie kinda.....meh in my opinion(maybe because Nostalgia Critic has influenced me so much).
saw it in 3D but i think it's fine if you see it in normal.
Pirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
9/10
I thought this was really good, definitely an improvement from the last movie they made. I didn't go in having high expectations but they did a great job with the storyline and left a few unanswered questions in my mind. I'm assuming they're making another film. I would really suggest going to see it if you haven't already and if you have 2+ hrs to waste.
Lake Mungo - 8/10
Finally, a horror movie based on the premise of being creepy rather than just hurling jump scare after jump scare. Not only is it built on suspense, but its actually so well done you could be forgiven for thinking it's a true story (though sitting down and thinking about it for a few seconds disproves that theory). Lake Mungo is an Australian production by Joel Anderson, his only project thus far, and it focuses on using documentary style film-making in order to bring a real world feel into the production, using no-name actors only adds to that documentary feel. But this isn't the half of it, this surprised me in how effectively it walked that fine line between the supernatural and reality until the final scene which blew me completely away (make sure you stick around during the credits too). This goes beyond most thrillers in terms of creepiness and I highly recommend it to anyone who is after a movie that is more about the built-up suspense to climax than the constant loud bangs and off screen antics.
