Now when it comes to Kira from Death Note, and Jigsaw from Saw, i thought to myself: does anyone else see a connection in ideals here? Here is an example of what i am getting at here: Kira used the Death Note to kill criminals to save other people who did not do wrong. he was on a crusade to kill killers and outlaws who deserved it. Now Jigsaw from Saw put people who were not doing anything with their lives in life or death situations, to test them to see if they really wanted to live or not.
Jigsaw had used traps that would kill the person who is in it, and depending on what they did, thye would live or not. Basically he took peopel like jailbirds and drug abusers, and gave them a choice: sacrifice a hand or foot to save your life. Kira was sending a message that was: do something wrong, and you will die, do no wrong, and you will live on.
so does anyone see how they both sort of were similar? or is it just me?
Side Note: all victims in the Saw movies were not meant to die. the only people in Saw III who died were victims of Amanda, who did not believe anyone deserved a chance, even if they survived their traps.
(if there is any further explanation needed, feel free to ask, and i will include it more into this thread)
