Glad someone mentioned Nujabes, though it wasn't the first thing that came to mind when I though Japanese music. Though Seba himslef is Japanese, most material on his albums is either instrumental or in english. Do yourselves a favor and get the "Modal Soul" and "Metaphorical Music" albums, both are GREAT hip hop albums.
The second one is one of my favorite rap tunes, totally brings me somewhere else. And the first is from the samurai champloo OST, I belive it's with fat john.

too bad it's not airing anymore, and i don't have any DVD of this series! do you know where i can download this subbed anime? i've googled it but, most of them is junk with horrible quality
