Sleeping, just curious

So Fpod and I had this discussion last night before going to bed. I idly wondered if the side you sleep on has anything to do with what hand you write with. Because I prefer to sleep to my left side, and I'm left handed. While Fpod is right handed and prefers to sleep on his right side.

Even if you're a belly sleeper, which side do you turn your head? Does it have any relation with the hand you write with?

Just curious.

Seems like it's just coincidental.

I turn to both sides. Whichever side is more comfortable at the moment.

I don't think it has any relation, I've never heard or read anything about it either. I'm right handed and I prefer to sleep on my left side. While I don't think it has any relation there could be some theories about it, but I haven't run across any of them yet.

Im righthanded....and I dont have a habit of sleeping on either sides. In fact I have a habit of usually switching around right left sides and middle constantly when I sleep.

I've never noticed a bias as to which side I sleep, I generally will switch a few times before finally falling asleep (always too foggy to remember which one it was).

Well, I do the same, but I always start out on my left side bur prefer to be on that side

It could be coincidental, I just wanted to see by more show of hands what they thought.

I don't really have a side myself, I toss and turn all night long.

Weird, I never even thought about that. I'm right handed, sleep on my belly and have my head to the right. :shock:

I"m right handed and i can't sleep in any other position than on my left!
I can force my self to sleep on my back if left my arm/side is injured, but sleeping on right is impossible~

im left handed but im not really pick which side i sleep just that if there is a wall i can put my back then im fine ( i wont have to worry about getting back stabbed)

Lol, I'm right-handed. I just toss around but more often than not I lean to the side next to the wall. If there's no wall, usually it's more to the left and regardless of wall I often find myself sitting when I wake up...

lucky for you i cant sleep if im not next to a wall T_T

so I'm lucky to fall from the bed 90% of the time, huh....
without a wall at one side that is.

Hmm I never really thought about that but I just sleep which ever side I feel comfortable with which most of the time is where my back is facing the wall. So I guess atm I sleep on my left side even though I'm right handed.

I sleep to my right side and am right handed.

I do think there's a link there....

I'm right handed and tend to sleep on my right side, but i believe that is only because that's where the wall is.
When i was young i once fell out of my bed and i damn sure never did that again...

I'm right-handed.. but still i'm sleeping with my head to the left, but sometimes i sleeping with my face at the pillow or against the wall even i'm right-handed. To be honestly I'm used to use both hands..wierd

I don't think it matters because if that were the case I - a righty - sleep on my left mostly.

Also, if you sleep on your left side and he sleeps on his right, does that mean you guys either face away from each other every night or have to breathe in one another's faces all night?
