Are you talking about preference in a girl? I'd say smart. Don't get me wrong, I want to be attracted to my partner, but they don't have to be a 10. I'd rather they be able to critically think. If they're smarter than me, even better. Maybe it would motivate me to broaden my horizons so I could participate in more conversations with them.

Smart. However, your fields of studies shouldn't be the same if one (or both) of you is competitive)/takes pride in their field. A partner should be happy for the other when the other succeeds, but if said partner always fails while the other always succeeds, this can cause self esteem issues and resentment which can lead to a blow up.

If she's a complete dumbass, that's a big turnoff, with it being an even bigger turnoff if she's a hot dumbass. I've met some pretty bottom-of-the-barrel intelligence people in my time and I've found it's pretty hard to even keep a conversation with someone like that.

Both honestly. I wouldn't want someone who's super smart but very unattractive, and I wouldn't want someone who's a supermodel but a complete dimwit. There are those people out there whom are both, though intelligence is much more preferable. I want someone who will be my partner when the zombie apocalypse happens. Smart enough to hold a freaking conversation. I don't care how good looking they are, if I can't talk to them or they can't understand what I'm talking about it'll drive me crazy (not in a good way..) They might turn into a stalker or just completely mooch off of you because they are incapable of taking care of themselves or maybe even worse. This is speaking from past experiences.
