So Fakku I ask you for some advise

Seeing as mostly everyone here may know something about buying selling cars ect. I was in an car accident on Tuesday(not my fault) The estimates I've received are for roughly 4500 which is just over 100 dollars under the totaling limit on my car.

I met with the claims adjuster today, great person explain everything to me. I have 3 options right now as I stand.

Option 1:
Fix the damage

Option 2:
Have it totaled and salvage it

Option 3:
Have it totaled, transfer the title to the insurance company and get the cars total value.

My car it turns out is worth 6600 dollars. I've roughly 1500 in the bank. I can get a decent used car for roughly 10k putting me with a lean of 1900.

What do you see as my best option.

Besides the emotional attachment that I have to it. It's been a pain imn my ass for five years.

Alternator, body repairs(twice), Power Window Motor, Transmission sensor, all have been done and replaced on this car since I've had it.

Aw, fucking hell no!! they did not just crush a love bug!!!! The only car groovier than those were the kick ass VW vans and buses from the 60's and 70's. But yeah, I'd probably go with the third option, but also consider suing the other guy for all he'z worth it they were the one at fault and you can prove that. If you can do that, sue hiz ass out of house and home, and get urself a Bently or Rolls. :lol: It will be hiz karmic retribution for smashing into a luv bug!

He has a point. I would just get a new car by totaling it and getting the market value for it.

I'd say get a used 2 door cobalt, or g6... they are both solid, and rather zippy imho

Believe it or not the Type 2 VW Beetle(98 and up) has 88 cubic feet of cabin space, and it's rather quite roomy. Putting the seat as far back as it will go and all the way to the floor even I can't even reach the gas/break peadles. Even all the way up my head has a good 8in clearance from the roof.

Same thing happened to me and I went with option 3. Bro, just knock out a single headlight and there's more than $100 extra damage there. I'm surprised it wasn't totaled. My car didn't seem half as bad as you described yours and mine was "totaled". I was PISSED, but it's aight now. Go with #3 and keep an eye out for stupid ass drivers with your new car. God, I hate people on the road. Some just don't seem to have any brains at all.
