So, did anybody get a new car for the holidays? I for one, sure as hell didn't! But then again, I really don't drive all that mush...and if I did drive, I'd have to go with a car that would cost an obscene amount of monay to get. I am of course talking about getting a new custom job DMC-12 from DeLorean motors, which was recently re-established in the good old US of A. Base price for a newly made DMC-12 with some basic modern conveniences runs at about 58 grand. And that's before you get to all of the good stuff that you add to it. With most of that stuff the final price is set at around 70 grand, plus whatever it costs to have it shipped and delivered to you from the factory. But wait, there's more! There is no way in hell that i would be caught driving something as slick looking as a DMC-12 with the stock engine still in it. The stock engine puts out, at the most about 115-120 horsepower. That is laughable. So, here's what you do: you have the stock engine pulled out, and replaced with a Mazda 20B 3-rotor twin turbo engine. But it would be insane of you to think even for a minute that the stock transmission could stand up to that much of a power boost, as the Mazda 20B 3-rotor twin turbo gets about 300 horsepower; a power increase that would most likely tear the transmission to shreds if you tried to use it. That is why you replace it with something along the lines of a Porsche 996 6-speed trans-axle manual transmission, or something similar that was designed to hold up under the power output of a engine like the Mazda 20B. After all of this work is done, it would have most likely cost you a small fortune, between the cost of the car itself, the shipping, the more powerful engine and transmission, and all of the service and labor costs for having a pro do the work for you. That is the kind of car that I would like to have in the future. How about the rest of you? Anybody else have ideas for dream cars they'd like to ask 'Santa' for?
i went up to the simile then got distracted
