socialising sites

I have an account on friendster, but I don't log in all that often, maybe once or twice a month.

it's also a lot more useful for keeping in contact with people as it does not require you to be online where as thing such as msn messenger do. People of advanced age then to spend a lot less time on the internet.

Old people need some action too.

i dont get the whole socializing site phenomenon, im almost ashamed of ever creating a profile. for the people that insist on socialing, these sites have become a step backwards in actually interacting in a social environment. its essentially contradicting, the only reason i see a benefit is that your not afraid to be someone your not... guess you meet more people that way. i havent used my profile in years and i never intend to, i keep in contact with friends via msn and THE OUTSIDE WORLD. not like i have all the answers and i dont mean to belittle those who use these sites, but it kinda gives me the world of warcraft vibe. too many people use it already, why add to the count?

Personally for me. I have various friends who are off at college and are many miles from me and don't have the ability to pay for a phone because they are working their asses off to pay for college. Other person on my myspace are family who are on opposite ends of the country. Calling them is impractical because of the time zone differences and out schedules.

thats why i must insist on the im alternative. if anyone can access any of these sites they obviously have internet access and some free time on their hands. instant messaging is essentially the same but a little more personal, that and you dont have to refresh the page 10 times while expecting an answer back on your wall. either that or emails, i just dont like the whole community you dont fucking know idea. again, different strokes for different folks... but i dont like being updated on the guy i met at a keggers added pictures.

One big problem there champ. Schedules, we're not on at the same times. Yeah, I know I'm on here almost constantly but, they have little access beyond 15 minutes or so. Some I do use messengers to stay in contact with but, the other I used myspace to leave messages with the ones who can't use messengers.

then what about email? instead of censoring yourself because your personal message to the guy is seen by EVERYONE, you can be as open or closed minded as youd like and they can get to the message whenever theyre available. the sites have essentially replaced email as some kind of interactive experience with one another so i dont blame you, im just trying to convert people away from it really. haha

I have Myspace and Facebook.

I honestly like Facebook better, because I could keep in touch with my actual friends which is what I use those sites for. Myspace, is what I use for to contact new people I guess.

you seem firmly opposed to these types of sties kirby, the fact that you don't use one and don't want to because "too many people do it already" (btw i hope that's not your only real reason) is slightly weak. I've kept in touch with a lot more people that I would not have if I had kept it to e-mail/im/personal contact... People I knew in grade school, people I met though other friends, people I worked with at some point. The simple fact that I can keep in touch with more people make these sites well worth the problems they create (if you use them you know which problems I speak of).

So. I checked my Myspace again and Noticed that Fiery Penguin of Doom and Lil Von added me up. I looked at their pictures and I thought 'Damn! How come all of them are so tall!' What are your Heights anyways???

Anyways, what are your Heights? I've wondered about this things about Americans and their Super High Heights!

I'm hardly "tall" by any standards. I'm 5ft 9 inches tall. I'm average to short when compared to other Americans.

My father is 6'3. I went to High school with a guy over 7Ft tall. Oddly named Israel but, that is not important

Tips: Eat Healthy, Drink milk and know that genetically you are basically programed to be a certain height. I'm not as tall as my father because my mother is 5'3 or 5'5

Ugh... I'm so envious of Americans and their Super Heights. Only 5'4 and still growing. I think i'm gonna be stuck around 5'6 or 7 and that's about it.
