If it's your turn to do the dishes/man the dishwasher don't complain. If you live in a household that does uses a "each individual washes and puts away their own dishes after eating" then just do your part and don't deal with other peoples dishes.

Ah, well, in any case I was mistaken - but they still don't like it.
Old Order Amish and Mennonites forbid photography of their people, and their objection is based on the second commandment, Exodus 20:4: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Yes that is why they do not show they're faces when being filmed or photographed. I've seen a few shows such as PBS' Globe trekker with Amish on Film but never with their faces.

I think that with all the rinsing and scraping required, loading a regular dishwasher is the same amount of work as washing by hand.
It gets easier when you get an industrial one. You can put a full turkey dinner in there, and it will come out clean. (I believe the term is "Firefighter-Proof")
