ITT: Have you ever played stepmania?

I've been playing for a year(Video is not me but my skill level is near it) and I'm still not as good as a lot of the players.

Its a game worth playing but not really interesting until you get good at it.

If you really want to be as good as in this video you will have to train every day.
And I personaly would not want to waste my time by doing something like this.
But still impressive.

My ankles want to break just watching that. I can't fathom how fast those A rank players could go. (I know its not all about speed)

BTW: The video is for and played with keyboard.
I don't think anybody could use pad to play this...

Stepmania is mainly for keyboard.

I personally use zx./ for my arrows.

Gotcha, I was relating stepmania to DDR since they rather similar. Alright, I'll rephrase my statement.

Awww... you don't play stepmania with a pad? I beat 1000 Sparking Euro mix, buI had to condition myself by jogging 3 miles a day for a couple of months to reach that playing level. Yeah, I'm a no life DDR player. XD

Too much money for pad, not enough room either.
Maybe some day.

You can beat Eurobeat on pad? Thats insane.

How about motteke metabo edit? xD

Haven't tried that one, but I still can't beat the Motteke Redalice mix. Sparking Eurobeat is one the most difficult songs that I've beaten in my 8 years of playing ddr, and that's only because I know exactly what I can miss and get away with.

PS- In these 8 years I've spent over $1,000 playing DDR at the arcade. >_<

wow I play standard on most song and heavy on very few

My settings:

C777 or C750
Hidden + Dark(Can't play without them)
Distant
No Mines(I hate them on "Loosey")

I can A most 10-11(Heavy) songs depending on the actual difficulty of the songs.

I can finish most 12-13(oni usually) songs with a B.

I use zx ./ for the arrows.

I play KB.

I mostly play the Otaku's Dream Mixes but I seldom play Touhou Mix, PPP(1 and 2) and the red fraction pack.

You can find me on smo as illumi, I only play OD on smo though.

I'm not that good (At least in top 10k) but I play a few time a week. There were periods when I didn't play for months. Recently I've gotten better and started playing more.

I played Stepmania on my computer sometimes, but not a lot. It was mostly downloading ~.~ I just would have preferred to play DDR. I played for a couple of years, not too long though. Like.. 7th grade to 9th. I moved out of state where DDR didn't exsist and it finally did make it's appearance and was even in the newspaper, and everyone ranted about how this is the best new thing ever. And I was just 'uh.. it was out way before I even started playing.' So I got discouraged and got tired of the rave and quit.

But Stepmania I was really good - I have a good hand eye coordination. DDR I was okay. This was my favorite song to play DDR to (and yes this is the one with your feet fpod lol)



But that's about the hardest song I could do. <.<; I wasn't a avid double flip back slide drop kind of player.

jeebus. that is such a cool looking game!
