MP3 player. I just moved and it wasn't quite as long, but it was longer then usual since we had to go at a steady 55MPH with the truck towing my car behind.
I either slept or listened to my MP3 player. Oh, I played my DS until dark (only because I was using a walkthrough with it and couldn't read it in the dark) and then a psp briefly.
Too bad you can't sleep. You might discover you can on this trip.

I've been in a situation somewhat similar to the one you describe. My advice is to clear your mind while you're gone. After all, there's no use sweating over the heat on another planet, right? Let home worries, etc stay home and just concentrate on the relaxing simplicity of where you'll be.

Getting back on topic, I guess Mixboy would have left for his trip by now. An 18-hour is indeed long. Perhaps chatting with your fellow travellers would be a good way to pass time? Or you could volunteer to drive... :D
