That is so fucking nut busting epic. Why the hell would those assholes not make more games like this. I'll kill em, I'll fucking kill em.
because the whole game including the controller costed around 200 €
and besides mecha and co is not that much popular outside of japan I guess
there were around 2000 units worldwide for the first release, then together with the 2nd game that only supported the online mode there were another 1000 units produced
The only giant robot game that I ever played was Armored Core 3. I pretty much mastered it and got bored pretty quick. If only I could play a game like armored core like with the controls of steel battalion, I probably wouldn't leave my house for a week.
Seriously that was awesome! I'm gonna raise money now for video games like that. Maybe make an MMO like .Hack as well. Then I will crash every operting system on the planet except for Linux..... Is that a good idea
I've got only two real complaints about this game:
1) The graphics aren't as good as stuff today, obviously because it's on the XBox. On the other hand, they were smart and hid that fact via the cockpit being grainy or something like that.
2) I can't play the game on my projector because when it's dark in the room, the lights from the controller blind me, and when the lights in the room are on, I can't see the projector. >.>
Also, I'd orgasm if they remade it with better graphics.
