Bro's before Hoe's?

See, lemme give you a history lesson.

My friend (we'll call him guy #1), he had a girlfriend, right? Well, a few months ago (around 5), they broke up. After a week, they got together again for a few days. This repeated 8 times. Around the 4th time, the girl took a week off and dated one of my other friends (guy #2). After 3 days, they broke up too. Now guy #1 hates her, she still loves him (according to her anyway), and #2 is encouraging me to date her. Apparantly, she also likes me too. Multiple times, my friend has encouraged us to make out, and she looks over at me and blushes before giggling (but that's beside the point). I kinda like her, but I haven't hung out with her enough to be sure of anything.

So, should I bother with this, or just go for someone else? Keep in mind this could be my first chance to get a girlfriend. And if it doesn't work out, I can at least find out if guy #1/2 still likes her secretly.

tl;dr: Guy dated girl, alot. They break up. She want date me. Yes, no?

I agree mostly because it sounds like she likes to jump from Boyfriend to boyfriend (maybe it's not true but from the story it seems like it)

Eh, her and guy #1 got into fights alot, hence the multiple breakups. She went to guy #2 after she was fed up with him, and then guy #1 asked her out after she broke up with guy #2.

Honestly, my opinion is no, and I'll give you a few reasons why you shouldn't.

First of all, from your story it seems she's the kind of girl that like to switch alot of boyfriends. All the "she still loves him, but likes me and possibly some other guy" is pure BULLSHIT. Sure, she might have some left-over feelings for the guy, but they're just superficial and they'll vanish once she's found someone else to please her, sexually or emotionally (or both, but unlikely).

Secondly, if your buddy says he now hates her, that's because through his hate he focuses more about the her flaws and what went wrong, in order to "let it go"(it's one of the more efficient ways of recovering from a relationship)... So I suggest you don't date her, unless you want to your friend to be upset with you. Even if he's over it, I still suggest you don't.

Besides, every girl you come across is an opportunity to have a girlfriend, don't be shy :P. Women like it when they see a confident man.

That is so true. Somehow, most men haven't beat that into their brains. Except when it gets too far and they are obnoxiously arrogant.. that's just not cool and a total turn off. :/

There is nothing like a good woman, she is your best friend to both body and sole. She can not only put a smile on your face, but a bounce in your step the next morning.

In my opinion you should not go out with this girl. Judging by her track record that you've provided she is only in it for the sake of having a boyfriend and it will be a quick fling. Really not worth it and you will get little from it.

she's still ailing over her relationship and you barely kinda sorta like her perhaps at some time in the future we'll see. That sounds like a prime chance for ultra maximum hurt.

you're shy is not the cause you can't find a GF, most people are alike but some took the courage to break the barrier and find their soul mate. so i think you too have it, give it some time, you'll find someone that perfect to you, one that belongs to you and only you.
