The other day, I was watching The Simpsons in the afternoon. Reruns come on every weekday on a local FOX station, and I usually tune in. That day, I was really enjoying myself, because it was the 138th Spectacular, which is a great episode. I always love watching it.
A bit into the episode, they're showing classic Simpsons cartoons from The Tracy Ullmen show, and they get to one where Bart is taking a bath and lets the water run over. Homer opens the bathroom door, a wave of water comes out, and there's Bart, rubbing his ass with a towel. Homer screams, Bart drops the towel, and . . .
A black screen.
It lasted only for a split second, so I thought something had messed up, either with the cable or the station. I didn't give it much thought, except that it was a funny coincidence that it happened when Bart's bare yellow ass was going to be shown.
I watched the rest of the episode, laughing a lot, and when the show got to the end, Troy McClure said, "Now, what you've all been waiting for - Hardcore nudity!" Then . . .
A black screen. For a fucking minute.
What you're supposed to see is clips from past episodes of nudity. All males, all asses, and all hilarious. The credits appear on the screen, and KC and the Sunshine Band's song "Shake Your Booty" plays. It's a fantastic ending to a fantastic episode.
But FOX 17 decided to fuck things up. They kept the music, but replaced the butts with a black screen, just like the one I saw earlier in the episode, except it stayed there for more than a second. It didn't come back until the episode was over and the 20th Century FOX logo popped up.
What the fuck??? FOX airs The Simpsons! They aired the 138th Spectacular when it first came on. They've aired it in the afternoon at least a hundred times (seriously, because the reruns have been playing for years), and every time, the butts were there. Except that day.
Is this what the world has become? Stations censoring their own programs, years after they've aired? Stations censoring some harmless ass, that is neither appealing nor detailed? It's a line! That's it!
It was a very sad day for me, when I could not see Barney Gumble's diaper fly off and reveal his yellow ass.

I feel your pain. When a network like Fox starts censoring even the most harmless of things, it is perhaps a sign that all good things have finally come to an end. There is something twisted going on in the mind of people who think a drawing of a yellow butt is 'too much' to show on the TV. ...man, that really kinda depressed me.

Since censorship is restricting my freedom, I am instantly against that shit. Today people use the excuses that "Children are watching" or "It's inappropriate". And the only reason they censor it is because they're afraid of being fined by the fucking FCC or they've been paid off. They couldn't give a shit about what we think as long as they keep their money. Fuck those fucking fuckers.

That's a fucking trading card, by the way. Bart's ass is on a trading card. A kid could buy it and look at it any time he wanted. But you can't see it on TV at 5pm, apparently. 5pm is too early. The Maury Show comes on right before it, and you can hear about 14-year-olds fucking 40-year-olds and having babies, but you can't see a harmless, yellow ass that has been shown on the network for two decades.
I saw asses on The Simpsons growing up, and I wasn't affected by it. I never thought, "Man, Homer's ass sure is hot." I just laughed, because it was funny. Fuck.

Ahh...censorship, the primary weapon of the fucking FCC. Why don't they disband already? They have not only outlived their purpose, but their simple existence binds the public to the times of false virtue and unnecessary modesty which we have long since abandoned back in the 1950's.
