So I looked and could find hide nor hair of a 40k forum.
So I would like to open this one up for all my fellow 40k players for discussions of all sorts. Your own personal armies, where you play, what you play and of course to talk about the fluff, please be bice to other people in the forum, and if you know it use some of that 40k lingo haha.
Keep in mind please that if you read any of the books, like the Horus Heresy series or any others please mark them as spoilers. I personally am on Horus Heresy and am currently on Legion.
I play Imperial Guard (Astra Militarum).
Scab Red (khorne red now) with khaki and a gold trim.
I have different kinds of fluff for my army. Mainly cause I'm a turbo nerd.
I've played almost every 40k game I can get my hands on, and am reading through the books and Lexicanum page like fragging crazy.

It's really nice to finally meet another Warhammer 40K fan.
Personally I don't play tabletop - I don't have the time, money, or skill to dedicate to an army and there aren't many Games Workshops around here in SoCal.
If I had said funds, time, and skill I'd play either a Guardsman or Space Marine army.
I was introduced to 40k by my cousin through the first Dawn of War game and instantly loved the whole 40K universe. I literally spent hours reading and rereading as much of the lore/fluff off Lexicanum.
I really want to read the books as well, especially the Horus Heresy series.
I've only read Descent of Angels - which was a gift from a friend.
And on that, have you read the fanfic "The Death of The Emperor"?

Nice seeing others here that play 40K.
I've just recently started playing. Don't own an army just yet. Been borrowing from the community that we have here to play with.
As of right now, I am really enjoying Tau. I like their design as well as play-style.
When I do get myself an army though, I am try to get the paint commissioned to have a 'Gundam-esque' motif for the Tau.

Im glad to hear from y'all, yeah the game is a little expensive but its really worth it.
I love the Dawn of War games.
And btw you gotta read from the beginning so read the Horus Heresy (its book one)
Money shouldnt be too much of an issue for the books, people on ebay sell some of the books dirt cheap. Ive gotten several and they have come in GREAT condition!

$30 for a Squad of Cadian Shock Troops, not including the paint and tools as well....and if you want vehicles...oh man good luck.

I have been building a tyranid swarm, it is not ready yet but hopfully one day it will cansume many star systems.

I'm a player of the game, not a reader of the books. I've been meaning to fix that as for my 30th I got a shiny new kindle, but I always end up filling it with Light Novels and manga when it comes time to fill it.
I run a Dark Angel army with Space Wolf ally 5000pt army. My nephew who I taught how to play and helped build and buy his army runs a Tau army. I have a 1850 force just for play in smaller games but I rarely use them cause there are no hobby shops where I live. Still, I love 40k.

Just dropped $300 on a buttload of Eldar and paints. I'm not much for the actual playing but hot damn do I love painting them up all nice and pretty.

Never played or had the chance to play warhammer 40k with anyone, but i enjoy the process of collecting.
