Well that was stressful!

Well here I am in the aftermath of a virus infection to my beloved beast computer that I purchased not to long ago. It happened about an hour ago when I had tried to find a nice manga scan site to re read some Berserk volumes. It was like nothing I'd seen before. I'm sure you've all had some run in with one of those bogus "We'll Virus Scan your computer now!" sites that popup uninvited. Well this one showed up on my frickin taskbar, telling me it was scanning my system at the same time my anti virus was. It would have been more convincing if it hadn't told me my task manager was a blocked and infected spyware file. So after some vigorus scanning, quarantining, vehement cursing and process ban hammering later I've emerged victorious and rid my once pristine virgin taskbar of the dreadful foreign "virus scanning" invaders.

Afterward to relieve some of the stress I poured my self a little drink which is probably the funniest part of this story

I had some of the same type virus's a little while ago. Bastards block your task manager! how evil is that!?

Good thing you were able to get rid of it though.

Had to restart the system and open the task manager faster than the program could load to block it from sinking it's claws into my system again. That's how I was able to stop it and close it before I scanned and located it for quarantine. The opening of the task manager that fast was a little dicey but luckily it worked out in the end.

Don't worry my collection is still in tact as is the files for the manga I was working on for uploading into Fakku. I Repeat the collection is intact.

I've had my fair share of experiences with those ones. But I learned fast how to keep away from them. I haven't had a virus in years now.

I had a housecall to fix one of those yesterday, easy money =)

Oh it's nothing but high class up in my crib. My next move after that? Hmm I guess I would have opened in safe mode and ran my attack against it there. Or if all else failed my computer is still under warranty. I could have called for backup from the dudes who built it.

On a related note does anyone know of a manga site that has good shonen/seinen manga (Hosting Berserk would also be a plus) That isn't infected?

I usually recommend Onemanga but that doesn't have Berserk no more... It's not on Mangafox either.
