This a co-worker related thing but it still counts.
One of our newbies recently started and is an older woman. Can't fault her enthusiasm (as she's willing to sweep the floors and even tidy up the shop floor without being asked) but she thinks she knows everything and made it painfully obvious she intends to progress, which is fine but when you're new and trying to interfere with other people's jobs (such as "helping" to cash up the till, which only serves to completely throw them off) that's not okay.
But I disgress. When she doesn't know something and gets told what to do, she forgets it almost immediately after doing it. Thus she is a frequent user of the bell system we have installed which is
pretty fucking loud and annoying and the rest of us try to avoid using it if we can, and if we have to use it, make it a quick press.
I've told her numerous times how to scan Loyalty cards;
scan it after scanning in a customer's shop, then press Total. Always press Go Back to scan anything else in including Loyalty cards. But once as I was helping her out, my manager took notice of her difficulty doing it and witnessed her successfully doing it under my supervision. She then pulled a dick move and tried claiming to the manager that she'd been told to do it a different way, which apparently is;
Total, scan it, it doesn't scan because it's still in Total, panic and ring the bell for help. Which is total bullshit and it seemed like she was trying to drop me in it.
TL;DR - know-it-all coworkers who don't absorb the information given to them, and who seem to try and undermine others to get to the top.

was mostly on tills today (i don't normally work on the tills), but had to many customers buying something for £1.99 and then giving me fucking £20 note
This really fucks me off after a while especially when it's a busy day and every other customer does it. I end up having to ask for anything smaller. It's like an uphill battle to keep my supply of £1 coins intact.
