What is more important?

Since most of the stuff I have is in Japanese, which I don't understand at all, I guess I'm more into artwork than in story itself...


Don't misunderstand me, I'm curious about what I'm watching, and would go for a trasnlation any day of the week, but it's not a priority.


Oh, and sincerily, I don't think I care much about censorship. I kinda have gotten used to it, and don't even recognize when a doujin has it or not

The artwork is always the most important detail, its what grabs your attention, the style the art was done, the scenes chosen, how an artist can conveys things beyond language or story.


If it was just the story wouldn't you read a novel. that would be an author pumping epinephrine directly into your gray matter, you're still the artist, because everyone reads a story differently.

SO!! In conclusion, THEREFORE :::Saying the story is more important, is like saying you read playboy for the articles, we now you're just lying to make yourself feel better.

Seeing as how were not drawing it and Japan is always doing a good job drawing it Artwork is a sure right out the window. Language is awesome cause story is cool.

Language is a must for me. I have to have it in English. Then comes artwork, then storyline, then censorship. I personally prefer it in black and white as its easier to read (unless the colouring is really well done).

Oh and most importantly, the girls must be secksi, adn spheling shuld bee good.

I don't care if it's translated into English. I was born with what's called an imagination, so if I can't read the story I'll just make up my own in my head. Presto! Problem solved.

After artwork comes quality (of scans) followed by story/language. Censorship? It doesn't bother me, personally, except in a few rare cases where it's taken too far.

as the majority of people have said, definitely artwork. I just honestly CANNOT read/look at any of these unless their is decent drawings cause then.......it just destroys everything lol

Always first is artwork. If something doesn't look good, then I just can't read it at all.
Almost equally important would be story. Sure, some people will say "it's hentai, who cares about story" but I find that I really enjoy the mangas more if the character are...in character. Not only that, but a realistic/well thought-out plot can really make a manga great, this pretty much applies to enjoying anything-movies, books, etc.

Artwork is always my main filter, though the other categories are significant boosts if they're there.

For me, I'd definatly have to say Stories the most important...though with my username I guess thats not to suprising. 2nd most important would be art, I'm kinda picky so I don't even bother trying to read it if I don't like the artwork. 3rd is definatly Language since I barely speak a word of japanese...and like some have said before me, colour's a nice bonus, but its not really important, nor is Censor ship

I think what turns me on the most is always the story. Because I have to understand it, language comes second. Artwork is a bonus, a BIG bonus, so censorship is next. Color would be last.

actually, artwork is important, because if it's bad, the manga's pretty much worthless. I can live without story, or without understanding what they say, but if the art makes you sick, you can't read it!

I rarely look at hentai unless its english. I just can't stand not knowing whats happening.
