legally at 18 in Peru, but everyone starts drinking since highschool.

It's 21 in America, but no one gives a crap about that, I've seen kids as young as 14 geting drunk out of there minds without anyone so much as batting an eye.

The drinking age in the US is 21, last time I checked. I find it interesting that, where I live, when you turn 18 you can legally own a shotgun, but you have to wait until you're old enough to drink to own a handgun, legally.

Laws and guns aside, I've been drinking since I was 15.

and also: Here it's the other way around, when we were kids everyone was drinking vodka because its cheap and hard-liquor.

EDIT: Forgot the topic on hand, the legal drinking-age is 18. (The ironical thing is that to buy alcohol from outside restaurants or pubs you have to be at least 20.)

Japan is 20 but not really strictly followed.

I already knew that, plus you can even get beer out of vending machines and drink it on the street and they even have beer vending machines in Bars!!!
