I've been looking forward to Monster Musume ever since before they even announced the anime release (Perhaps hoping for is a better term). Man, the happiness I felt when I realised one of my favourite series would get an anime adaptation is just amazing.
Put one in for Monster Musume, but in all honesty there are quite a lot of good ones that came out.
Tough decision to make here. Big fan of Monster Musume, but I also like Umaru-chan's quirkyness. Shimoneta's pretty racy and hilarious. The only one I have a qualm with is the new Dragonball series. I like the new arc being introduced, but I can't wait for the english version to come out, the japanese voice actor for Son Goku doesn't do the character justice.
I would say Gangsta at the beginning of the season but then it changed to Shimoneta. That show is ridiculous and is the only one I jump to watch a new episode of. I'd say DBS but it's disappointing so far. Also My Bride is the Student Council President is great as well. Pure ecchi.
Shimoneta is probably the one I look forward to the most every week. It's exactly my kind of humour and I sympathise with the message.
Monster Musume was a no-brainer because I just love the manga. It's not as good as the manga but it is still the best ecchi-harem show currently. I'm very glad that it has gotten such a positive reception from both fans and critics alike.
Gakkou Gurashi! is the one I'm giving my vote because it is the best written show. Sure it is cute and funny but it has something that none of the shows above have: depth.
Overlord: I believe out of all the recent "stuck in a virtual game world", this does it right. The training to get stronger arc is replaced with world building, which allows the viewer and characters to learn about the setting in a more natural way. I like how they balance Albedo's fanservice, random spurts for comedic purposes.
Himouto: The trash monster we can all relate to in at least one point in our lives. Outside persona is this perfect and delicate high school girl and inside a lazy otaku that just wants to eat chips and drink cola. Someone buy me the himouto potato chips...pls...
Gangsta: Daily dose of violence. It's just barely getting into the main plot? I'm not sure. Either way, it centers around two "handymen" that do odd jobs for the mafia and police.
Gakkou Gurashi: I'll admit I had a hard time getting through the first episode, but those last few seconds hooked me instantly. The last few episodes have been pretty exciting and I'm curious what will happen to the members of the school living club.
Shimoneta: Perverts should watch this.
Wakakao Zake: I actually really like this very short 2 minute anime. An office lady eats at local restaurants by herself and enjoys her dinner with some alcohol. Nice to watch with a beer in hand.
