I usually start reading comics in the summer and then stop again around August. It's happened the past two years, and it'll probably happen again this summer.
I just can't help it. I like comics, but I like manga, too, and usually it's one or the other. I either spend my time reading a lot of manga or a lot of comics.
But part of the reason I've stopped reading comics for months is because one issue of a series comes out a month, typically, and that irks me. I like to read a lot at once, especially if something is a cliffhanger. Plus, there are too many crossovers that require reading six different series at once. I stopped reading comics this past year so that Secret Invasion could finish, and I could download everything involved and read it quickly. Besides the core miniseries, there are issues of every other fucking Marvel series involved, and . . . uhh, I haven't downloaded it all yet because it's going to be such a hassle. Just like with Civil War and World War Hulk. I liked both story arcs, but figuring out which issues of which series I had to read, and in what order, gave me such a headache.
Wait/Download/Buy the trades then...Problem solved!
