.....that the best things in life are free should be dragged out into the street and shot. I'm trying to figure out how to raise $5,000-6,000 in order to purchase an epic new laptop that was recently re-released by Alienware after being taken back to the homeplanet for an upgrade and overhaul session. And short of selling my internal organs or staging a bank heist, I don't see any way I'm going to be able to come up with that kind of money any time soon. (curse my current status as a high school graduate in college trying desperately to find ways to make ends meet while funding my taste for tech!!!) Odds are I'll probably have to wait until the end of this upcoming fall semester when I finish my pharmacy technician course and [hopefully] pass the cert. exam and then manage to get a job in a local pharmacy. At which point I will have secured a steady, dependable, and fairly profitable job position (pharmacy tech's make on average between $65,000-$70,000 at the lowest to around $75,000-$80,000 a year at the highest) and will be able to save up teh dough and buy the epik laptop which iz epik.

Most of the 'custom built' laptops I found on the net all had the same but-fucking-ugly box shape and unimaginative design. And the ones I find that have the looks and features I'm seeking are grossly underpowered. So, where do I turn; back to Alienware of course.

You could buy a new car for that price.My current laptop is by now essentially 3-4 years outdated, and it was a grossly underpowered system. I vowed that my next laptop would have some moar guts under the hood that my current one. And I'm one of those people who doesn't actually own a car, and who isn't comfortable getting on the road with most of the morons out there; thus I do not drive. Hell, I don't even have a license. And nowadays, five grand will get you a 'new' used car.....for which you will then have to pay for insurance and gas: and those are constant, not all in one shot.

I'm to lazy and inexperienced to build my own. That and I'm not very good with little, expensive things like that anymoar, I kinda killed my hands in highschool, and my stability and reflexes in my hands are all fucked up. Still haven't been able to determine what happened to 'em exactly.
