This is as much a mystery to me as anyone else here. But I suppose none of us here have even bothered trying it. Maybe they actually have some amazing content (for those who are into it). I don't see myself every getting into that junk, but I won't rule out the idea that it might be worth it to others. Plus there are people out there who legitimately believe that if you explicitly pay for something, it's just better.
I promised myself one of these days I would make it right and buy all the videos I d/l of Rebecca Linares from torrents.
A woman like her deserves my hard earned money.
My problem with buying porn is like my problem with buying digital goods. It never feels like it was really worth it. I like to hold things in my hands besides my dick. I use my money buying physical porn most of the time. I own like 4 books from Fakku (if you really consider that porn, they're more like investments or peices of fine art) and am waiting for my 5th coming out hopefully next week.
Another thing, paying for porn is an internet sin. Unless you're risking a virus on your computer, you're doing it wrong. Paying for porn is like masturbating in your childhood friend's panties with a condom on. Whats the point without a little danger? Whats the point if theres no risk of getting caught with all of the ones you stole. (Talking about the porn)
Even porn stars need to eat- I don't think guzzling cock makes for a very balanced diet.
There's also hentai artists- which like any artist- need that their art generate revenue to survive.
Speaking as an artist (my porn career hasn't really kicked off), I can tell you that creating quality pieces takes time. Depending on the piece- it could easily take the equivalent of your regular 9-5 shift- so the prices would reflect something similar.
It's not just porn sites; it's always been expensive to buy porn. Go into an adult shop and look at the DVDs. It's ridiculous. Paying $30 might work if it was two hours' worth of fucking, but it rarely is.
Think of the days before the internet. God, back when magazines were the easier way to look at chicks being fucked. Those days sure sucked.
Time for an ad financed business model then, still a hoax, but I heard people got rich of throwing snowballs like this.
I've been subscribed to a fairly good website, which actually was just a backdoor to a few other sites. It allowed me to watch real porn streams 24/7 and I could even download some porn and hentai.
And I never received any spam mail from them, which was also a great point.
