Will you help me?

Hi everyone I want to say that I noticed that there's alot people who are new to Fakku that have gotten -reps or don't have any yet and suggest that we should help them out with enough +reps to get them started

I already started helping a few people but I can't do this by myself so I'm asking is anyone willing to help?

While I almost never give minuses I still believe that rep should be earned not received for a good start. You don't even need it BTW. For now it is only as someone called it, an E-penis. You should also consider the fact that some ppl may have already 'earned' their minus. If he/she said something carelessly than it may serve as a good lesson for the future (I learned in such a hard way in my time).
You can do what you want with your quotas but I'd suggest not spending them carelessly. There are a ton of ppl here who truly deserve appreciation (with some new users amongst them).

Usually there is. Apart from some random drops from random idiots witch can hardly be avoided and target everyone. The post witch earned you a drop will have such info ('This user has received -1 reputation for this post'). Find a few and try to think what may be wrong with them.
With fewer posts this can be easily checked (all your posts can be viewed in your profile). Still - in the long run common sense does the job. Don't insult anyone (fairly easy in the Motemote topics) and you'll be fine...

Reps will have a life of their own during Motemote so don't worry to much about it. This won't get you banned or anything.

unless the post is extremely insensitive, i don't see a reason to give minuses. i got a neg the first day on the forums.

but whatever. i had help from Genko i think it was.
personally, i give rep to people who deserve it.
on second though, there really is no reason to give a neg.

probably good/satisfying pics of some random girl they have in mind or you can always upload some late good movie you have liked/anime episodes onto the Video section. :)

All I'll say is that just give those who are new a warning and if they make another mistake you can give them a -rep but tell them why

Rep is pretty much irrelevant.
It doesn't actually MEAN anything, really.

Rep is given because the user did something of notice in the community be it did something funny, turned people on to something cool, or just helped them out. Signing up doesn't count.

If you're wondering who gave you positive or negative rep, it's pretty easy to do. Just click "View Your Posts" at the top right of the forums page. That will show all the threads you've made posts in. You can then scan the threads, find your posts, and see if a post has gotten a rep point or not. This is really easy if you haven't made a lot of posts and if you made a lot of posts in a few threads.

Or you could, you know, read the rules and faqs of the website and make sure you follow them:

It doesn't take long to read them, and 90% of all questions asked by new members and problems brought up by new members are answered in that thread. More often than not, new members get negative repped because they clearly have not read the rules and proof it by doing something that is against the rules, like making threads that didn't need to be made, making threads in the wrong section, revealing that they are underage, saying stupid shit, spamming, etc.

I agree that we shouldn't be too hard on new members, and some members get negative reps that they don't deserve, but we shouldn't just hand out positive reps to people because they are in the negatives. It doesn't work that way. If you see a member with negative rep make a good post that doesn't break any rules and actually adds to the forums, then you should give that person a positive rep. But don't give a person a rep just because you think that no one should have negative rep.
