@ Kallen: I'm sure when you have children, they would be fine since they emulate such a sensible woman as a mother. They'll definitely be able to distinguish the stark difference between the two realms.
@ Rin: Yes, that's true. A fair reminder to all of us who are and will be parents one day.
That is why as parents you are to empower your kids to make sensible and well-informed judgements. I have faith as a parent that if you nurture the correct values consistently, your teen will be able to learn; to make decisions that will further shape them into the kind of adult that would make you proud one day. I know many teens that watch hentai and yet are awesome individuals in their own right. Some displaying a level of maturity that surpasses an adult's.
Why would you undermine your own child/teen? At that age, every kid is refining his/her set of social skills and sense of morality. Guide them along, share the consequences if they don't set a limit. Give them the ownership of defining what is too much, etc. I bet they can regulate their own hentai viewing schedule. I'll still keep tabs at the age between 13 - 18. The need to respect their privacy will always be there. I'm not saying you relinquish your role as a firm parent. Exercise your parental right if there is a need to. Till then there's nothing to be overly concerned about. Hmm, I bet there will be some out there that will attest to this statement "Hentai taught me about sex and made me more bodily aware of my erogenous zones and fetishes."
