Would you rather be...

Overly cold or overly hot? A conversation in IRC today made me wonder how people felt about their climate and how everyone wants to be somewhere else.

I always dislike the feeling of being overly hot, the only time i should have to sweat is while playing sports and any time I'm getting hot and heavy. I don't like the stickiness and when it's hot and damp it makes me want to rage. I would much rather a dry cold where I put blankets and clothing on than stripping off clothing just to sweat a bit less. I live in Canada, and other than our overly damp summers I enjoy the weather quite a bit here.

What do you enjoy? I didn't make this a poll option because I want people to answer and give reasons as to why they don't like a particular climate level.

I enjoy being too cold only cuz I get some self sadistic satisfaction in shivering like crap.

I grew up in the desert. Between out two seasons of 6 month summer or 6 month winter. I enjoyed the winter more. Even if sometimes we had to wait for it to get warm enough to snow.

I'd much rather be cold. I can handle it more than the heat.

I would rather be too hot right now. Spent 5 hours waiting in line to keep a friend company for Black Friday sales at Best Buy in 35 degree weather.

I don't think I have much of a choice, I seem to always be cold. Fpod hates my feet ;p

But I don't know, it depends what kind of hot or cold. I hate the feeling of hot air blowing in my face in the car, it makes it hard to breathe. But I also hate the feeling of that cold dry air outside dead winter where it's almost hard to breathe. Dry weather in general is terrible for me.

I don't think I have a preference, because it really depends the time or situation.

Well living in a desert I generally like cold weather better. Also I think it's easier to make yourself warm in cold weather than it is to make yourself cold in hot weather. Being hot sucks.

I prefer to be overly cold than overly hot. When I'm overly hot it feels like I can't breath and I begin to panic and take unusual amounts of deep breaths...

Overly cold. I've managed to survive/avoid heat-stroke through the years of walking in 80/90 degree heat wearing sweatshirts walking home, but I hate being hot! Cold is where it's at (another reason why I love Mizore so much).

I enjoy the cold, since I become something like an Energizer Bunny when it is.

I go back and forth. When summer comes around I say, "I wish it was winter." But once winter rolls around I usually hope for summer. In the end though, I guess I would rather have a colder climate than a hotter one.

If you're overly hot, the most you can do is take off your clothes.

If you're cold, you can start a fire, pile clothes on, blankets, etc.

I fucking love the cold.

Cold, I think. I have really bad circulation, so I can feel my toes in the heat, but I like the cold because I hate sweating.

This is great everyone likes it cold. I thought more people would like it hot.

I lose my damn mind when Im too hot. Seriously. Last time I remember getting too hot I took off everything and wrapped a towel around my waste, then ran into my garage with all of the fans I own and the water hose from the side of the house. Then I sprayed myself while running in circles after closing all doors.

agreed, like 75% of the people I've talked to in real life say hot. Perhaps someone should do a study.

I also prefer the "coolness" of winter than the heat of summer.
Its really a pain if you have to work 8 hours a day in the burning sun.

I put up with this hot damp country for 19 years already, I want it cold.
