Yeah, Raw was crappier than usual. The AJ segment was dragged too long, Cole vs King's "match" (and the idea behind it) was garbage, the GM being Hornswaggle, that idiotic DQ finish on Cena's match. I was already bored by the time the Cena match came about, and it didn't even got better after that. It's like the writers just put up together the script in an hour. Not a great way to hype up MITB.
100% agree with you, before Raw started I was excited to see who else would be added to the MITB, but from the looks of it there will only be 4 guys :[
Four guys and three of them are heavy for this match. In my opinion, a MITB match should have at least six people. Among those six people, at least three of them should be athletic (guys like Jericho, Miz, Kofi, Christian, etc.). Seriously, I don't think Big Show and Cena are going to be launched from the top of the ladder like it usually happens in these matches.
On the other hand, I see what they are doing. I believe they didn't want both matches to feel the same. RAW's MITB should be more slow-paced, while Smackdown's should be quicker(in terms of match execution, or more like the carnage that these matches usually present). However, I believe the real reason that RAW's MITB match wasn't bigger was because of it's ex-champion condition. Look at
this roster, the only one applicable for being there is Jack Swagger. He's a jobber and can't be above Dolph Ziggler right now. If Miz or Rey would have returned, they would surely be on this match.
