Well I have many ramen rituals, I choose one depending of my mood, the ingredients that I have and the time that I have.
I start it out by boiling water and cooking the noodles, then I strain the noodles and put it in a bowl and save it for later, if I decided to save the water that I boiled the noodles I either add the flavor package (beef or chicken, in here everything else is lame and rare), I throw some soy sauce for extra flavor, then few drops of roasted sesame oil, green onions, maybe an egg or two.
Sometimes I get a smoked sausage chop it in thin slices and fry them to add to the noodles, normally in this one I remove the sausages from the yummy fat that it let out and then I stir-fry on it some onions, after it is nice and golden I throw the broth which can be from the previous ritual, and the sausage.
The last step in these two is to add the broth and the extras over the noodles, sometimes I put a raw egg over the noodles and pour the boiling broth with everything on it over it.
A third one is to boil the noodles, strain it, whisk an egg, soy sauce, and thinly chopped green onions together in a bowl then throw the very hot noodles over the mix and eat it like that, it is yummy and very filling.
My fourth is to cook the noodles, strain it, throw chopped beef on the water and cook it for a long time to get a tasty beef broth out of it, then I follow the first ritual to make it even tastier. Eggs, sesame oil and green onions are a must as well.
Fifth, boil noodles, strain noodles, make broth with flavor package, fry an egg sunny side with soft yolk, throw noodles on a bowl, throw the egg over the noodles, throw broth over the noodles, sprinkle green onions over everything.
Sixth, boil noodles, throw flavor package contents, add eggs, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ice cubes to lower the temperature to 'not scald the throat', eat it.
The fifth and the sixth are fast noodles rituals for when I am not with time or in the mood to make the others.
Now my seventh ritual, open package of noodles, open flavor package, sprinkle flavor over the raw noodles, eat raw flavored noodles from the bag, either as a sandwich or as chips by breaking the noodles. This one is for when I don't feel like cooking or just want a quick and easy snack, you can't get easier than this.
I have few more rituals/ways of making instant noodles, but these are my most used ones.
