Do we know why he did this anyway ? Because he probably IS a victim , even if your emotions don't want to accept it . Because you know , you don't go in a school killing 20 kids and then killing yourself if everythings fine in your head ...

I have no clue what went on in that guys head, but you would think that an elementary school would be somewhat taboo, no matter what his problems were. All I've heard is that he first shoots his mom at home, and then, of all the things, he goes to the elementary school where she worked, shoots the principle, and then proceeds to walk into a classroom and proceeds to start shooting children, and then of course, he kills himself in the end. Even if he didn't kill himself, you bet your ass someone else would have, regardless of the consequences.

I'm sure we all agree this guy had problems, but to go to this extent was absolutely insane, not to mention how heartbroken and scarred the parents and survivors must feel. This will probably go down as one of the most infamous shootings in US history, and shows just how safe any place really is. The grim truth of the matter is, if someone wants to kill you and they have a weapon of some sort, the location doesn't really matter much, they can simply follow through with it, and game over.

In a nutshell, this was absolutely horrible no matter how you look at it.

No, I don't feel anything watching that video. As has been said before, things like that happen all the time and there's plenty like it on the internet.

About the potential gun argument, yes, there should be tighter regulation in the US. This is even more apt with the recent shooting, but there's a very clear correlation between guns being legal and murders by guns. Simply, the more guns there are, the more murders there are.

Go look at other countries that have more lax gun laws than we do and look at countries that have even tighter gun laws than we do, (my city's next door to Mexico, and people here know bad Mexico is right now with the cartels and the Mexican military fighting eachother).

Tighter gun laws won't work simply because they won't curb violent crime in a big way.

The recent massacre that has happened might've been avoided, not by tighter gun laws, but maybe by better mental healthcare. From what I understand from this guy, he wasn't exactly in a good place in his head.

It's an ugly fact; not all soldiers wear uniforms. If you fail to shoot you will die. Many people lose the nerve to press the trigger just because a child or an elder is in the way when in fact it is them that can be most dangerous. I would never harm a child if I can avoid it, but if that child is trying to kill and it's obvious I cannot disarm him, I will shoot him in self-defense of myself and others. It is only in movies where you can hit someone in the head and knock them out to avoid killing them.

Killing children is taboo for a good reason - to kill a child is to kill the future. Not to mention the majority of them are helpless. But do not forget there is always that small percentage that have grown up from violent pasts and regard the world with cold eyes and will do anything for revenge.

However, while I dont agree with you that such a person should be tortured they should get a ton more jail time then that if not the death penalty and I hope they rot in whatever hell they believe in, and if they dont believe in one I hope one does exist if not just for them.

Guns are just like hentai, you don't have to have them and if the government banned it, only criminals would have access to them.

I don't know about banning guns, because I watch America Most Wanted sometimes and there always cases where the victims were able to survive by using the guns they had.

At the same time, owning weapons should only be limited to handguns.

was this killing purposeful? If not then at least a couple years for manslaughter but if the kid was killed purposefully then get the guy in their for a LOT longer

i dont know the story, but most likely it was a stray bulet.

me and kids, i dont see them as any special. theyre just human beings too, why feel bad just COZ its akid. i mean cant people just be sad that a human got shot again, its like diminishes the deaths of adults or something.
